Day 2 of getting a hobby

been staying awake just so that I can write another entry into this blog. I am thinking of creating my own website. This is some-thing that I should already be doing as I have now a web developer. It has never occurred to me for the reasons that before I did not have a computer with me for the last 2 years. And the last computer I had was for 5 years and was extremely slow.

I cannot even begin to wonder at how much I have yet to learn about programming at least from my experience I am still sorely lacking in many areas. Not to mention, that I am trying to learn as much as I can everyday... whenever I am able to. But I have not been able to dedicate as much time as there is to it. When I have to work and with a boss that looks over your shoulder...

For so many reasons, whilst working I am interrupted to diagnose minor computer glitches which my fellow colleagues ask from me at work especially my boss. But that is all getting better now, as I have more time to dedicate to learning than before when I was constantly being assessed and scrutinized from every other angle.

Well, I am interested in learning more about the hobby that I wish to pursue. I have been interested in learning different languages and I have taken the time to learn Korean at one stage, and still am practicing and listening to audio mp3 files as I make my way to work. As well, whilst I am on the job I learn Chinese from my fellow co-workers. And they too teach me how I can improve my Chinese. In fact, I don't think I have been in either of the languages above. But my Chinese is definitely better than my Korean.

Now that I have the time to continue my revision and studying... there is just so much out there that I have to learn... not to mention, I am learning a programming language in C# .net technologies as well making use of the gimp software that I download to create more effective flash enabled websites. Interestingly enough, I have graduated in Business and I am working as a web developer. How interesting and yet so demanding!!!

So far, I have to update myself frequently with the latest technologies on the market. And by doing so, I do check out blogs, forums and other technology reviews from time to time. so far... I am doing my utmost best to try to keep myself abreast of the competition.. but it is tough... well... so much for what you consider a hobby.. Maybe in the future, people will ask each other what they do for a hobby? And nobody has a clue...
Everyone is just too busy nowadays... that work is the 'Hobby' and not the hobby becomes a job...

Well, I have to go now... got to get up early for work tomorrow.
